Antique Illinois Pentagonal Pocket Watch
"Meritime"
This is an interesting watch I can't find in my book

Measuring on the back side with a caliper, the movement is
about 36.4mm. That translates to a size 8s. The movement is
labeled "Criterion" and is 17 jewels. It's also marked double
roller. Serial number is 4465447, dating it to about 1924.

The back says it warranted 25 years, so I'm assuming it's
white gold filled, but there is no mention of it. There are
several numbers etched into the back, from past services or
repairs. You can only see one of the numbers in the picture, but
there are a few more.

The condition is very nice as you can see from the greatly
enlarged pictures. I just picked this up yesterday and wound it
up this morning. It didn't seem to want to wind very far, but it
ran (a little slow) for about 5 hours, then stopped. There was a
little play in the setting knob when pulled out to set.
Please assume this will at least need a service/clean
to get it into good operating condition. That being said, I am
not offering any returns or refunds for functionality or
condition of this watch. You are buying it 'as-is', just as I
did. You can judge the condition from the pictures, and if you
need to know more, you can ask questions. I'll do my best to
answer them.

We strive for 5 star service. If you are not satisfied with your
transaction for any reason, please contact us before
leaving feedback, so we can make things better for you. eBay
penalizes sellers who receive anything less than 5 star DSR
ratings, so even though a "4" is supposed to be a "good" rating,
it is not good enough to keep a seller alive on eBay. If you are
thinking of leaving less than 5 stars, please let us know why,
and I'm sure we can work something out so you will be happy &
keep our 5 star rating safe.
