14k Solid Gold Swiss Repeater Pocket Watch Antique 19th Century

Posted on January 12, 2012 | Category: antique pocket watches

Up for sale we have this fantastic and ultra rare collectable 16 size hour/quarter repeater pocket watch with central minute counter (which was very rare in the 19th century). This treasure rings every quarters and every hours.  This watch has a superb dial with black markings and a thick crystal in a 14k solid gold double case (with no gold wear).  Covers snap tightly. Please see pictures.

As usual at that time, there is no brand name engraved inside but, according to an expert, it seems that this pocket watch might has been built by Lecoultre (one of the only company able to produce the central minute counter’s technology at that time). Containing a stem wind and set 21 jewels movement  that is in very fine running order, keeping excellent time…

This guilded movement is protected by an inner cover to view and inspect the movement. I believe this to be an early watch made circa 1890's.  This timepiece has never been reconditioned and works perfectly well.  Pocket watch dimensions : 63 mm
