You are bidding on a beutifully engraved Antique 14K Gold Pocket Watch. The pocket watch was my father's which I inherited when my mother passed. The watch is made of 14K gold. I had an antique watch specialist look at the watch and was advised this watch was "Top of the Line" in its time. Not sure when the watch was made, but he was gussing early 1900s. The pocket watch still runs but is missing the crystal, has a loose ring and appears to have a broken stem that prevents the watch to be opened via the push of stem. You manually have to open the face. The pocket watch Swiss made movements with 16 jewels. I don't know much more about the watch other than the information that can be found inside the watch it self:
As can be seen from the pictures, the following words can be found inscribed on the inside of the watch.
Inside Front: Pic. #5: "14K"--- "INVAR"---Serial Number: "159289"---"CMI"
Inside Rear: Pic. #7: "14K"--- "INVAR"---Serial Number: "159289"---"CMI"
Inside Rear Movement Cover: Pic. #9: :"Auto Reglee"---"INVAR"--- "Ancre 16 Rubis"---"Reglace De Precision"---Person's Name "Maurice Wolf"--- the city and place "Soerabia En Samarang"
The watch in total weighs about 2.75 onces.
