ANTIQUE VACHERON CONSTANTIN POCKET WATCH STAND CLOCK
The Case
Original open face pocket watch dated to circa 1910', customized later on into a unique stand table clock. The back has been modified into a hinged glass back in order to see-through the special movement. Excellent overall condition, measuring 50.5 mm (1.99") in diameter and 14.5 mm (0.57") thick.
The ingenious metal stand measures approximately 4" wide and 4" tall. It has two bars that hold the watch in between. On top of each bar there is a metal dice, giving the design a clever and fun look.
The Dial
Rare to find, the all-original Vacheron & Constantin white enamel dial is in Mint flawless condition, without hairlines, cracks or chips. It features blued steel hour spade and minute whip hands that point to black Arabic numerals. The face also has a convenient 'railroad' style minute track in black. There is a detailed sunken seconds subdial at marker 6 with a small blued steel hand. Signed Vacheron & Constantin, Geneve.
The Movement
Gilded mechanical movement in remarkable condition. Manual wind, crown-set. Serviced, cleaned, and keeping good time. Signed Vacheron & Constantin with the Maltese cross and serial number 344118, giving an estimated manufacture date between 1910 and 1915.
