INCREDIBLE Antique AW Co Waltham 14k Gold Pocket Watch Hunting Case 1879
This is an incredible antique AW Co Waltham Hunting Case pocket watch circa 1879 set in 14 karat yellow gold. This is truly an incredible and big antique Waltham pocket watch set in 14 karat yellow gold. The pocket watch was recently serviced and polished and cleaned and is now in excellent overall working condition and keeps great time. The snap on the case is tight and secure. The pocket watch is hallmarked AW Co Waltham on the dial and is engraved SM on the front cover as well as To Sam with Love Rae on the inside cover as well as hallmarked I9875 on the inside cover. The movement is hallmarked Waltham Mass Pat Pinion 2209791 as well as PS Bartlett. The inside back cover is hallmarked AW CO 14k I9875 and the back cover is hallmarked 14k I9875 as well, the case is all 14 karat yellow gold hallmarked and tested. The pocket watch including the movement and crystal weighs 124.8 grams. The pocket watch is 100% original and again is in excellent overall condition and working condition. The case measures 52.5mm round not including the ring and measures 17mm thick closed. Including the ring at the top of the case, the pocket watch measures 78mm L. A written appraisal from May 1980 is included with the pocket watch is valued at $3000.00 from over 30 years ago! The price of gold was not even $400 then and now it is over $1750 per ounce!
